SaaS Browser was built to solve a growing problem: discovering new
and innovative SaaS products has become increasingly difficult.
Traditional search engines often bury emerging tools beneath well-funded
competitors and sponsored results. Our mission is to help people find
great software faster—whether you’re solving a specific problem or
exploring new possibilities, while giving SaaS founders a fair
and visible platform. For basic usage, our search engine is free, open, and does not
require an account to use.
Transparency and trust are core to what we do. Our
platform is designed to help professionals and businesses discover and
connect with SaaS companies through accurate, insightful, and legally
obtained information. Given the nature of our service, we know that
questions around data sourcing, privacy, and compliance naturally come
up — and we welcome them.
We collect and display only business-related data, such as company
names, product information, websites, and business contact
emails—usually publicly available addresses. If you choose to sign up
for an account to manage or submit your SaaS listing, any personal
information you provide is protected and never sold or shared for
advertising purposes, as outlined in our Privacy Policy. However, we do use third-party data providers (more information on them below) and other means of acquiring publicly available information (web crawling), which we do share and sell, under strict legal compliance.
This page outlines how we source our data, how we ensure privacy and GDPR compliance, and the principles that guide our approach. Our goal is to be clear about our practices while respecting both our users and the professionals listed in our database.
Where Our Data Comes From
We collect data through a combination of publicly accessible sources, licensed third-party data providers, and proprietary web crawling technologies. Public data includes company websites, press releases, blog posts, public directories, government registries, and job listings. These sources are typically intended for public consumption and help us gather foundational business information such as company names, industries, product categories, and leadership roles. In addition to this, we work with third-party APIs and commercial data vendors that supply additional layers of insight. These providers are contractually bound to comply with data protection regulations and maintain rigorous standards around how data is sourced and shared. We vet our partners carefully and only work with those who demonstrate a strong commitment to ethical data practices. Lastly, we use web crawling techniques to collect publicly available information at scale. This process respects the rules defined in website robots.txt files, avoids sites with restrictive terms of service, and is designed to minimize disruption to any site’s infrastructure. If you have a SaaS listed,
please follow these instructions on how to remove it.
At no point do we collect data through unauthorized access or scraping of private platforms. Our entire sourcing process is built around the principle of respecting the digital space of others. We do not engage in any form of copyright infringement; all data on our platform is sourced from publicly available sources, and any data obtained from third-party providers is licensed with the appropriate rights for resale and redistribution.
Our index is kept fresh through a continuous data‑quality cycle. Every listing is automatically re‑crawled and re‑verified roughly once per month, ensuring product names, pricing tiers, and details stay current. To safeguard the performance of the sites we visit, our crawler observes robots.txt directives, applies generous back‑off intervals, and rate‑limits its requests so that no origin server is ever overburdened. If a founder or user spots something we missed, they can flag the entry by emailing
hello@saasbrowser.com—those manual reports jump to the front of our review queue and are typically fixed within a business day.
Because many SaaS sites describe themselves better than any third‑party copywriter could, we leverage AI to publish profile pages. The model ingests publicly available text from a product’s homepage and turns it into a concise overview that’s easy to skim in search results. While this speeds up coverage and keeps the directory vendor‑neutral, it can also introduce wording quirks or outdated claims. If an automatically generated blurb doesn’t read quite right, the SaaS owner (or any attentive reader) can drop us a note at
hello@saasbrowser.com, and we’ll revise or replace the text immediately.
We’ve built a community contribution loop so founders can take ownership of their presence. A company earns a prominent " Verified " badge by claiming a profile, confirming proof of association, and validating core facts. That badge signals to buyers that the details have been confirmed by the people who run the product, raising trust while reducing due diligence friction.
Our Commitment to Privacy
We recognize that even when data is publicly accessible, privacy remains a fundamental right — particularly in light of evolving global regulations like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The fact that information is available online does not diminish our responsibility to handle it with care, respect, and transparency. That’s why we’ve taken deliberate steps to ensure that our platform not only meets, but actively upholds, modern data protection standards.
Our processing of business-related data is grounded in legitimate interest, a lawful basis under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. This permits the use of publicly shared professional information within a B2B context, especially when it supports innovation, competition, and efficient business engagement. This legal framework is widely adopted by responsible business intelligence providers and is intended to strike a balance between the legitimate needs of companies and the privacy expectations of professionals.
In practical terms, this means we focus solely on non-sensitive, business-oriented information — such as a person’s full name, professional title, company affiliation, and company-issued email address. These details are typically published by the individuals themselves on company websites, industry directories, public filings, and other business communication channels, where the intent is to be discoverable for professional purposes.
Importantly, we do not collect or process personal contact details like private email addresses, mobile numbers, or home addresses, nor do we infer or derive personal attributes unrelated to a person’s professional life. Our data use is limited, relevant, and proportionate, ensuring that individuals are not unfairly impacted or exposed. In all cases, we strive to act transparently and responsibly, and we provide clear options for data subjects to inquire about or remove their information from our platform.
Data Security
Security is at the core of everything we build. Our platform is designed with a “security first and security last” mindset, meaning we prioritize protection from the earliest stages of development all the way through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
All data in our systems is encrypted both at rest and in transit, with industry-standard protocols such as SSL/TLS enforced at all times to prevent unauthorized access during data transmission. We partner with Cloudflare to provide an additional layer of protection, leveraging their Web Application Firewall (WAF) to block a wide range of threats, including SQL injection, cross-site scripting, and other common web-based attacks. To ensure that access to user accounts is secure and limited to real humans, we’ve implemented Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible verification system that helps prevent bots and automated tools from logging in or abusing the platform.
Internally, we enforce least privilege access, ensuring that team members and systems only have access to the data and functions absolutely necessary for their role. We also maintain a regular update cycle for all software dependencies and infrastructure components, minimizing exposure to known vulnerabilities. This multi-layered approach helps ensure our platform remains secure, resilient, and trustworthy for every user. Lastly, our databases are protected with firewalls and only the permissible IP address ranges are able to connect; along with authentication, and we use encrypted key management to protect keys used for authentication, such as sessions.
Opting Out or Requesting Removal
If you find your information on our platform and would like it removed, we make that easy. Simply follow our opt-out process, and we’ll ensure your data is deleted from our systems. We believe individuals should always have control over their personal information, even in a B2B setting. We make this process simple and transparent — and we honor
every request promptly and respectfully.
Our automated opt-out tool
can be used to instantly and permanently delete data from our database.
When you remove data from our database, we store your identifier in
hashed format with a random salt, ensuring that it cannot be reversed
but still maintaining the permanent ability to ensure your information
doesn't re-enter our database.
Our Monetization Method
SaaS Browser’s
core search and the ability to explore emerging tools will always
remain free. Revenue comes from two optional tiers: (1) advanced
discovery features such as granular filters, saved searches, and email
alerts, and (2) curated B2B contact datasets that help go‑to‑market
teams reach SaaS decision‑makers. Those records are sourced exclusively
from vetted suppliers or from public venues where executives share
business emails precisely so they can be contacted. Anyone can opt out
at any time through our one‑click removal tool or by emailing us, and we
will permanently suppress their information from future releases
(please read below). Any B2B contact datasets are strictly for business
related purposes only, and we aim to avoid collecting, sharing or
selling any personal email addresses.
Still Have Questions?
We’re always open to discussion. If you’re a business, a listed professional, or even just a curious visitor, feel free to reach out to us at
hello@saasbrowser.com. We’re happy to clarify anything about our practices and provide additional details if needed.
